INSPIRE visitor: Benjamina
Fri 08 Nov 2024Benjamina Ebuehi was our visitor in November.
Benjamina told us that she had thought about several
careers while she was in school including teaching, being a
lawyer or having a career in maths because it was a subject that she was good at.
Benjamina explained that she developed her love of baking when she used to cook with her mum. She applied to The Great British Bake off and was successful. Although she did not win the series, she has since developed a career in baking. She has written 3 books on baking and enjoys developing new recipes.
Benjamina encouraged the children to follow their passions as they could make careers out of them.

Christiana Pena visiting St Mark's
Mon 22 Apr 2024On Friday, Christiana Pena visited St Mark's as part of our #INSPIRE programme. Christiana told us that she felt God’s calling on her life when she was young. She trained to be a nurse and then went to work for the Leprosy Mission as a missionary for nearly three years.
She is now working for the NHS as a manager of a virtual ward where patients live at home and she helps look after them from an office.
